Charles Caleb Colton said that “To write what is worth publishing, to find honest people to publish it, and get sensible people to read it, are the three great difficulties in being an author.” The author’s job is writing the manuscript, the publisher’s job is to turn the manuscript into a book (in this case, an ebook), our job as the ebookseller is to find the people who would like to read the ebook and then sell it to them. All three tasks require skill and dedication.
And this is where Interead began. Founded in 2008 by entrepreneur Neil Jones, an avid reader and first time novelist, the aim of Interead is to deliver the widest range of ebooks available and provide the best devices to read them on.
Via our websites, we do just that. We have dedicated sites for our ereading device, the COOL-ER at www.coolreaders.com and a massive ebook store with over 1,000,000 titles and growing at www.coolerbooks.com.
Our aims as a business are simple and centre around delivering for our customers and listening to what they say. Our mission is to be one of the top companies in the ebook and ereader arena by the end of 2010. Our aims are to have:
- The coolest, smallest and fastest ebook readers in the market place.
- The largest ebookstore and econtent provision in the World.
- The most innovative epublishing house for new authors in the World.
In addition we will:
- be the perceived market leader outside the USA.
- be a credible alternative to the market leader in the USA.
- continue to innovate and evolve in both ebooks and ereaders to deliver what our customers want, not what we think they want!
- always remember that our customers have a choice and value the fact that they have chosen us.
